Located between Kirkwall and Stromness on the Germiston Road, Bachylis has breathtaking views over Scapa Flow, Waulkmill's sandy beach, Kirbister Loch and the Orphir hills. It is an ideal base from which to tour Orkney's historic sites, nature reserves or visit the smaller islands.

You could take advantage of the free trout fishing on many of the Orkney lochs, with Kirbister Loch a few hundred yards away, or why not try your hand at diving with a local dive school, or just sit back and relax and have a meal in the local pubs.

Recently built to a high standard, Bachylis includes hall, vestibule, lounge/kitchen, bathroom with shower, two bedrooms - one bedroom with a double bed, and one with two single beds. A child's cot can be provided.

It has its own garden and parking. However, we don't allow pets at this time.

All facilities, doctor, hospital, police, shopping etc. are available in Kirkwall, only seven miles away, with the bus routes nearby. Post office and pub are all to be found locally.

All bed linen, towels, etc. are provided. Full kitchen facilities including automatic washing machine, cooker, microwave, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, etc.

Electricity is provided by a card meter, with the first £5 provided free. A payphone is available for the use of guests. A grocery delivery service may be provided on request.

The key can be collected at Bachylis on the day of arrival after 2.00p.m. The property is to be vacated on the day of departure before 11.00a.m.
