Craig Taylor Photography was established in 1995 and since then has built up into a successful photographic business, with clients ranging from local groups and organisatons within the Orkney Islands, to companies throughout the UK, as well as the national press including various newspapers and magazines.

He is available to provide photographic services anywhere in the Orkney Islands and the surrounding area.

Over the past five years he has worked within Orkney as well as gaining various commissions which have taken him to the Scottish Mainland as well as north to Shetland to carry out a number of photographic assignments.

Wedding Photography

Craig Taylor is probably Orkney's most popular wedding photographer. He provides quality images at a realistic price, combining a mixture of the traditional formal techniques, together with a more candid approach.

Wedding

As well as having fully portable studio facilities which can be set up at each reception venue, there is also a choice of outdoor locations for bridal photographs within Orkney, such as the Earl's Palace or Standing Stones. In the past, beaches and cliffs around Orkney have also been used as a unique backdrop for a memorable wedding album - weather permitting of course!

Landscape Photography

On permanent display in his studio/gallery in the centre of Kirkwall are many scenic and aerial views, which show the Orkney Islands in all seasons and weather conditions, from calm summer sunsets to winter storms.

In stock is a catalogue of photographs of the Scottish fishing fleet, containing fishing vessels from various ports around the country, including: Kirkwall, Stromness, Lerwick, Scalloway, Scrabster, Wick, Peterhead, Fraserburg and Buckie, as well as vessels from various other ports around the UK

'At The Fishing' - Volume 5

Craig has produced several videos of the fishing industry, which show life and work onboard various fishing vessels, working the fishing grounds of the North Sea and Atlantic Ocean.

Both tapes were filmed at sea by fishermen and feature the industry in all seasons and extremes of weather, showing how the crews live and work at sea. Included is footage of shooting and hauling the fishing gear, gutting and boxing up the catch, as well as spectacular shots of vessels in rough weather.

** WANTED! Fishing video tapes **

I am always looking for more video footage of fishing for future editions of the 'At The Fishing' series. If you have any tapes that you have recorded and would like them to be included, please give me a call to discuss it or send them to me at the address at the foot of the page.
