Foinhaven
Foinhaven is a modern spacious house, built in 1997. It is situated on a quiet country road on elevated ground, overlooking Kirbister Loch, Waulkmill Bay and Scapa Flow. It is overlooked by the dramatic Orphir hills and the island of Hoy's Ward Hill.
Parish of Orphir
The parish of Orphir is one of the smaller parishes within the Orkney mainland even though it covers a large area. It overlooks Scapa Flow and the islands of Hoy, Flotta and Graemsay, although the other south isles are visible on clear days. Orphir is home to the Viking Round Kirk, Earl's Bu drinking hall and several significant RSPB bird reserves. It is conveniently situated between Kirkwall and Stromness and has village amenities such as a pub, post office and school and community centre.
