WOODWICK HOUSE is a warm, welcoming and comfortable historic Country House overlooking the island of Gairsay and beyond.

An extraordinary, peaceful location set in unique and beautiful surroundings on this sheltered part of Orkney. Only twenty minutes from Stromness and Kirkwall and within easy reach of the main historic sites, bird reserves and sandy beaches.

WITH ITS twelve acres of of bluebell woodland, a burn cascading down to the sea and its own bay, this is an ideal location in itself for birdwatching, seal watching or simply relaxing. There are colourful books on Orkney in our library, open fires in our sitting rooms and a baby grand in our performance room upstairs.

Our superb cuisine makes use of all the excellent prime local produce and seafoods, using organic wherever possible. Vegetarians and special diets are catered for.

We are fully licensed offering a selection of Orkney malts and ales.

LOCAL ARTISTS ' works are on display and we also organise small concerts and cultural events throughout the year attracting internationally renowned performers.

Woodwick House is run with care and awareness, fostering an atmosphere of gentle creativity and is ideal for retreats, small groups, conferences, workshops and private hire.

• £50 per person per night in our largest double ensuite with bath and shower.

• £46 per person in one of two doubles or a twin ensuite.
  • £60 as a single
• £34 per person in a double, twin or single with shared bathroom.
• A three course meal is £24 per person. We use as much local produce as possible.
